A stunning view of the magnificent Burj Khalifa and continuous flow of new restaurants and cafes, the 5km Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard has become a landmark destination to resident and new comers. How should one go about exploring this area?
Whizz around the area on a segway from The Pavilion. Learning how to maneuver a Segway might be a little challenging for first timers. The segway does whatever you do; if you gently lean forward it will go forward, center your weight over the wheels to remain stationary, and gently lean backward to make it go backward.
At arrival you are required to sign a waiver, then a short demonstration by an experienced guide will follow. Wearing a helmet is mandatory-safety comes first! The activity is more suited in the afternoon where you can enjoy the city skyline surrounding you. The maximum speed of the Segway is speed is 12kph.
The tour guide takes you around all the main attractions of Downtown Dubai from the park, to the dancing fountains, to Burj Khalifa, and around Souk Al Bahar
The segways are limited to a maximum of five guests per guide; however a larger group can be organized as long as they are accompanied by several instructors.
